Where are the Jonamacs?

We went to this cute little farm in Loudon yesterday with Grammy B. Our mission was to pick up a half bushel of apples for her 'Cascade Park renowned apple crisp'. We found just a small bin of the Jonamacs that she like to use to make her tasty treat. So she looked at me and I looked at her and we looked at the kids and she said, 'you really want to do this?' Sure it'll be fun I said. Last year the twins were mobile and Edie was no more than 3 months old when we ventured out. We had a blast year and this year was just as fun. They were great pickers once we found the the Jonamacs.
The girls each got to pick out a little gourd when we left, they held on to it and fell asleep with them in the car. I did catch Edie trying to eat hers but she'll learn it's not as tasty as those apples.

Edie and I trailed the pack. We (she) was pointing at the big pumpkins and oohing and saying oh wow. There was also this very old black lab that she followed around wanting to touch it, but the old hound was still to quick for her little legs.
We did not get our big pumpkins we are saving that adventure for Daddy.
How many had a bite taken out of them? We caught Edie 'product testing', so I'm wondering how many of those apples had little tooth marks in them.

Here are the troops picking out the biggest and best apples. (Mom and I were picking out the best, the kids were chucking everything they could into the bucket.) Reagan kept saying 'silly apples he he, I keep tripping over silly apples.' I remember that the most about last years adventure Reagan could not keep her feet on the ground, every time we turned around she was sitting in the orchard path. Same held true for this year. I think she spent so much time looking UP into the trees that she wasn't watching where she was stepping and kept stepping on those 'silly apples.'

After asking some pickers where the Jonamacs were and stepping over...many a hopping frog on our way, we settled into a sweet smelling orchard of very top heavy trees...VERY TOP heavy trees;).
