Wii had fun.

Video games have always been banned from our house, but this is something I would possibly, maybe in the future, in a couple of years think about. Not that they are bad and other people shouldn't have them, I'm just saying I've never liked them, Todd has respected that, and oh yeah, when would we have time to play? Reagan and Ethan did have a fun time boxing. Brian thanks for the Wii dance:)

Where did all these kids come from?

Something Funny

He was making her laugh about something. I think she was getting a kick out the fact they were the same size.

Picnic

We had a little picnic when we went apple picking with Daddy. The girls just loved it as did Todd and I.

Map-a-dot

The General Lee

Grammy B and Auntie Moe's new ride at the campground. The twins had fun pretending to drive.

Ethan had a blast riding around on the 4 wheeler with Fred. He was very brave and inspired the girls to want to try it too. I love this picture of him. It was such a beautiful day.

Aubrey enjoyed the experience too. I know Fred has been waiting a good three years to get these little ones onto the four wheeler.
Reagan went around in the circles once and that was about it for her. She said she wanted to 'see Daddy'. If anyone got pictures of her on it with Fred I would love to post it.

Fred, you were brave to take the twins on it. We all know later in the night Aubrey has 'too many sweets' and ...blew chunks all over your kitchen. Sorry about that :(

The girls did enjoy this, thank you for letting them experience it. Don't get any idea's if you see kid ones at the transfer station! Remember I live on a big hill, you live on a big hill, need I say more?

Let's Catch Up

  • Let me start by saying .....I have 3 under 3!!!
  • Sorry It's been a while, here's what's been going on.
  • Like I've said in the past. Gifted and Talented
  • (On occasion...OK daily they do exhibit their stereotypical 'two's' behavior ).
  • What else has been going on?
  • I've painted our bedroom, changed some basic things, it's warm and cozy now, then
  • I painted our downstairs bathroom, changed the mirror made it 'new' in there, why? with potty trained (almost) 3 year olds I spend a lot of time in the bathroom why not make it nice.
  • MeMe and I went out and got the girls some sparkly new sneakers (Edie) and some with lights (Twins). Everyone had gone up a whole size since the beginning of summer!! Can you say growth spurts?
  • MeMe and I went and had the girls pictures taken. Can you say sticker shock!(Did you all get them? If not, email me at deefisch@comcast.net and I'll send you the link to look at the session and all the pictures),
  • Edie has been picking up words. She likes to call Aubrey baa beee
  • I rejoined the twins club. Hello Twin Moms!!
  • I'm enjoying this years selection of smiling cats for Halloween.
  • The girls and I made a fantastic witches broom for the front steps.
  • I need a vacation :)
  • Yo Gabba Gabba is like hypnotising toddlers for 28 minutes. (let's me shower or have my umpteenth cup of coffee.

Where are the Jonamacs?

We went to this cute little farm in Loudon yesterday with Grammy B. Our mission was to pick up a half bushel of apples for her 'Cascade Park renowned apple crisp'. We found just a small bin of the Jonamacs that she like to use to make her tasty treat. So she looked at me and I looked at her and we looked at the kids and she said, 'you really want to do this?' Sure it'll be fun I said. Last year the twins were mobile and Edie was no more than 3 months old when we ventured out. We had a blast year and this year was just as fun. They were great pickers once we found the the Jonamacs.
The girls each got to pick out a little gourd when we left, they held on to it and fell asleep with them in the car. I did catch Edie trying to eat hers but she'll learn it's not as tasty as those apples.

Edie and I trailed the pack. We (she) was pointing at the big pumpkins and oohing and saying oh wow. There was also this very old black lab that she followed around wanting to touch it, but the old hound was still to quick for her little legs.
We did not get our big pumpkins we are saving that adventure for Daddy.
How many had a bite taken out of them? We caught Edie 'product testing', so I'm wondering how many of those apples had little tooth marks in them.

Here are the troops picking out the biggest and best apples. (Mom and I were picking out the best, the kids were chucking everything they could into the bucket.) Reagan kept saying 'silly apples he he, I keep tripping over silly apples.' I remember that the most about last years adventure Reagan could not keep her feet on the ground, every time we turned around she was sitting in the orchard path. Same held true for this year. I think she spent so much time looking UP into the trees that she wasn't watching where she was stepping and kept stepping on those 'silly apples.'

After asking some pickers where the Jonamacs were and stepping over...many a hopping frog on our way, we settled into a sweet smelling orchard of very top heavy trees...VERY TOP heavy trees;).

Kitty and Hoppy...and Meaty

Reagan and her animals. She loves pretend playing with her little critters. These are the current favorites. She feeds them and hugs them, lets them look out the window when we are in the car. Very sweet. Aubrey likes her animals too, this little pup from Grammy B is happily named...MEATY.

Fold Patrol

Edie was guarding the laundry. Fold Patrol. Here she is crossing her arms and trying to scowl. To darn cute not to take a picture of.
Edie is doing great! She is getting her molars so she been a 'little' fussy.

Here she is getting ready to jump off the tote of shoes headed for the basement. She is getting really long and lean, and of course always has a wet diaper. Due to the colon issue, I try to keep water or juice at her fingertips at all times to keep her hydrated.

Her hair on the other hand is growing like crazy and I'm temped to cut it, but I don't have the guts to do it myself...yet.

New Room

Here is the new paint that I am so excited about!! The color is called Toffee Glaze. It's gorgeous. This room was a pastel mint green. What a huge difference a coat of paint makes! Our room is a nice warm retreat now, comfy and cozy.
You'll see this color in the downstairs bath as well.

Boston

Is this not the cutest thing the streets of Boston have ever seen!

The girls had a whole boat load of people taking a harbor tour waving at them and saying 'awwwwww, look they are so cute!'

Aquarium

Yes, yes I finally convinced Todd to drive into Boston. Keep in mind it was Monday well after 8am, and we were back on the road well before the 5pm rush home. The twins were quite an attraction themselves. We had such a great time. We stopped for a bite to eat BEFORE we got into Boston. Two out of three slept in the car.

We stopped for some ice-cream after we went to the aquarium. It was so much fun. The girls just kept saying Wowwww, and Reagan would say, 'OK, I'm ready to look at something else now'. Her favorite part were the leopard seals at the entrance to the building.
Aubrey full of smiles. She wasn't so sure about the air horns on the big boats coming in and out of harbor. Once we explained what it was she was waving and saying hello to all the people on the boats. She and her sister had a whole boat of people of waving at us as it came in to dock. She enjoyed the sharks in the big tank, and touching the hermit crabs in the touch tank.
Edie minimally partaking on our ice-cream adventure due to the richness of the ice-cream. She surprisingly really liked the jellyfish exhibit. It was dark and back lit to see the squishy critters. She liked the darkness of the exhibit and went to each tank and said. 'Wow'.

First Day of Nursury School

I can not get enough of these pictures. My girls loving each other and being each other's best friend.

OK this is even before we left the house. I had them in the kitchen they were looking outside wondering when we were going to Grammy B's because it was Thursday. What 2.8 year old knows its Thursday and we should be going to Grammy's. To boot, they know we need to take the bumpy road (Maplewold) to the smooth road (the end of Maplewold) to the highway 89 to the gate (Grammy's camp).

This is them waving bye to me.

My 'babies' are saying goodbye. They are waving and having this pretending to be sad look. Killed me. Killed me! I was fighting back the tears here. Imagine how I looked when I dropped them off. There is just something about that first day.

In the car backpacks ready with a change of clothes. They had cubbies ready for them when we got there. We tucked their sweaters and packs away I signed them in for their official first day of school.

This is them opening the door to a brand new world. Reagan was a little clingy and I slowly backed towards the door. She was settled and preoccupied and had a great day.

So I called Todd and he immediately answered his phone and said....'It's OK, they are OK, you OK?' Yes, yes I reassured him. They did a painting project and Reagan came home with a pink pony tail. It was amazing to see the differences in their personalities and creativity. Reagan was intricate with her blue and red dots. Aubrey swirled all her colors together into a greenish rainbow.

Edie and I had a meltdown. She had never really been without them. I had never been without them and realized no other immediate family member was in charge of their well being and sculpture of future adulthood. Yikes, what have done? I cried. Edie cried.

All was well.

I folded clothes and puttered around for 2.5 hours. I even set the timer on he oven so I would be prepared even though I looked at the clock ever 5 minutes. Yes, Yes, I was lost without them. Edie and I had a special lunch and read books. I tried to get her to talk. ...No luck. As most of you know Reagan's first work was abacus, Edie's has been wow. That's about it. Mama, pipe and Hi Dad. Other than that she takes me by the hand and brings me to what she wants. Bangs on the dishwasher. I open it. She takes out her bottle and top. She bangs on the fridge and I open it. She point s the apple juice. I ask her if she wants JUICE. She does the whole body shake for yes, yet no words....

She did say 'yup' to me when I said do you want to got get sisters. She was excited and ran for the door. Once we got to school she was squealing when she saw her sisters.
Miss Darlene said they were delightful.

No Pictures PLEASE!!!

She is really waving goodbye with a really excited face. But I thought it looked like she was blocking the paparazzi camera lens in this shot.

I was going back through the pictures from our beach trip yesterday. I must of skipped right over this one. I love the innocence in it. One twin looking out into ocean, the other looking back towards the shore. Both in deep thought. I couldn't think of a title for this post suggestions are welcome.

Sleeping Beauty

Nothing beats an afternoon nap. Some days we do some days we don't. Grammy B got us (the kids and I) into a good habit of having quiet time. Edie can sleep for a good stretch in the early afternoon. The girls use this time to sit quietly have some hot milk and listen to classical music. Usually one, the other or on a rare occasion they both drift off to sleep. Giving me a chance to have a little quiet time myself. The rule is we are quiet until Edie is up and about. All three resting AT THE SAME TIME is pretty hard to come by.

Smiling Eyes

We have a little nick name for Edie.
We like to call her Edie-pa-T-deee. This is usually all it takes for her smile.
Even though you can't see her her smile behind that plug of a pipe you can see the smile in her eyes. I've had people say to me you smile with your eyes, now I see it in her. Beautiful.

Plah-doh

Another example of the worlds happiest baby. She is so excited to be doing the same things as her sisters including play-doh, Color Wonder markers (thank you crayola for creating this fabulous product!) The challenge is keeping everything out of her mouth. She puts EVERYTHING in her mouth!

Beach Babies

I think this was our last adventure to the beach this year. We got there at low tide and found a little piece of beach not to crowded. We brought only the necessities and didn't feed the meter utill everyone was suited, sun screened and ready to cross the street. Parking meters were a ridiculous 25 cents for 10minutes. We stayed about 2 hours I'll let you do the math. The kids ran and ran, then ran a little more. The twins and I went swimming, and collected shells.
Edie liked playing with the shells. She would put the basket on the ground, put in all the shells, walk over to me and look in to find the shells were gone? She did it several times with this basket before becoming frustrated and moving on to something else like...
Sand swimming. Eating sand. Putting sand down the back of my shorts. Chasing seagulls. All three girls took to this sport today. Another thing they liked to do was sand swim on Daddy's sand castles. For some strange reason they all took turns lying down and rolling around on his sculptures.
Here are a couple more outtakes. I loved the look of delight on their faces. I heard more belly laughing and giggling from ALL of than I think I've ever heard

Here are more of those twin shadow movements again. Totally different kids that move in sync.
