Merry Christmas!!

Lots of Santa questions this year. We made sure to keep it magical and light, keep the Christmas mystery and spirit alive...
but NO, Elf on a Shelf.

Edie and her 'magic reindeer-food skip dance'. We laughed all the way home and more so when we downloaded the pictures. She has such a contagious energy, always laughing and smiling. She is the happiest kid in the world, she just has a lot of opinions now. :)

A

That was my final grade for my art class I took at the New Hampshire Institute of Art.

I loved it, it took up most of my free time and I learned a lot about the basics of art, and how to talk about a piece, or my piece of work.

I took the class because I need it a pre- requisite for some photography classes I want to get my CE certificate in.

Taking a class and working on all the commitments of retail in fourth quarter was a heavy undertaking.

It was worth it.

I learned a lot about myself and my work.

With everything I did learn and explore I've taken quite a liking to painting.

Still photography is my love,

painting is my escape.

Happy Birthday Aubrey and Reagan!!!

Seven years ago today, we were blessed with our baby girls.

Me and my girls.

Daddy made them bunk beds for a birthday surprise, they went most of the week thinking he was making a chicken coop. Little did they know it was their coop he was making.

Edie wanted 'in' on that and moved into their room. Now ALL three are in one room, and Edie doesn't know how good she had it having her own room. Give it a few years and they'll be fighting tooth and claw for the 'single'. For now it's the 'dressing' room. three dressers and all the goods.

Then...

and now...

Halloween brought us 20+ inches of snow, leaves still on the trees, and NO loss of power!!

We made it through and trick or treated a week later.

It's now February and it hasn't snowed since! We've have a mild winter.

Pumpkin carving always brings out the best faces!

Pumpkin carving and sledding, a perfect Halloween!

October 28, 2011

October brought about a whirlwind month, of weather, candy and costumes. From festive Halloween costumes to a living room full of winter gear it was a busy month.

Todd and Owen waiting for the Halloween parade at the girls school.

Aubrey was a witch/cat.

Ray was a leopard from head to toe!

Edie was a pink cowgirl!

Costume Party

September brought us to our first costume party. It was at Whites Park in Concord. Great little playground and pond. The girls had a blast!!

This is the twins at their finest. Aubrey being the comedian, and Ray wanting nothing to do with it. Makes me laugh when I see this. Imagine living with it...OK, picture 10 years from now. Cracks me up!

The dynamic trio.

Rattlesnake Mountain

September was a hiking adventure with a great friend on Rattlesnake Mountain in Holderness, NH.

It was cold! It was beautiful. Great hike, all stairs and steps to start, there is no gradual warm up it's just 'go'.

Where Does The Time Go....

Let's catch up, shall we? It's been a whirl wind summer/fall with highs and lows.

The explorer came close to literally exploding. I was driving home on the two mile dirt road to get to my house. On this fine day I chose to take the short cut. A 'not town maintained' road. That states: 'pass at your own risk'. Well the truck made it halfway up the hill and just shut down...I got out looked around, I was maybe a couple pg hundred yards from my own drive way. Dang!! I popped the hood, and paced back and fourth for a bit. Willing the stupid thing to start again. I gave it little gas and talked nice. It started. I made it up the driveway...it didn't start again. So our discussions of a more fuel efficient car came to fruition.

Not only was the explored not fuel efficient, it was fuel dangerous. Once it was towed to the garage and the tech looked at it. He found the fuel pump had shorted and almost caught fire!. How scary is that. I'd been driving the girls around in it for years and we are very lucky. On this day they were not with me.

We researched and test drove. And to get the most bang for our commuter buck. We went with....

A Honda Civic. It's been about two months and we've saved about $400 in gas money alone. The deal is..We ALL have to be getting along before we get in. It's tight. It's great, there is no eating, or drinking or putting your feet on the seats and Todd is allowed to drive 'sometimes'. :)
