It was warmer yesterday, and they needed to get the goofies OUT!
I knew we were going to be housebound with the cold snap that was coming.
We went outside and Phezie (our neighbors cat) had left fresh tracks. The sweet black cat circles our yard daily and during the summer he is a GREAT chipmunk chaser!
They spent almost an hour following his tracks in circles around the yard. They were climbing in, under, over and around trees, rocks, and sheds. It was fun to hear their excitement as they found other critter tracks too. We also found rabbit, deer, turkey, and a couple other unidentifiable tracks...I'm still curious as to what/what those belonged to. I'd like to know if it's something with a den that could be a danger. I'll look into getting a tracking book we can take along with us.We came in and had a picnic by the fire with hot cocoa and strawberry heart marshmallows.
