The girls just got their first pet.It's a Guinea Pig and they chose to name her..... eh hmm, Princess Honeycomb. Most of the time we just call her 'piggy piggy'.
About 9pm she starts to jump and flip and go absolutely bonkers (in cavey speak this is called 'pop-corning'). She does her piggy cooing and chatters up a storm. Of course having all this FUN AFTER the kids have gone to bed, and we are desperate for quiet time!. We listen to her play and rustle up all the bedding, wondering if all this activity is normal (because nothing is ever normal here!)
She is fun, the kids (and Todd and I) are enjoying her. I have missed having a pet, and Todd is not allergic!
I'm sure there will be many Princess Honeycomb antics in the future.
