It Was A Great Weekend!

...but I really missed my family.
At the same time I made some great new friends. We had delightful neighbors and it was one of the best 'work' weekends I've ever had.
I've been a retail sales manager, and I've had to do things 'thier' way.
It was great to do it MY way and reintroduce myself to the little ol' me who is still in here after all, I can't wait to bring her out again...
Come see me at my next show,
Lupine Festival in Sugar Hill NH June 21 and 22nd.

My Innkeeper was a firecracker!! She is an amazing lady that just explodes with life. I treated myself to dinner and ate at the waters edge, I watched the boats come and go and couples stroll along the boardwalk. I got to The Tuckernuck Inn at about 7pm on Sat night after the first day of exhibiting. It's a gorgeous home Donna and Kim (her husband) converted into a B&B. It was within walking distance of the show. I walked in the door and was greeted with a smile and it soon turned into the two of us sharing stories, showing photo's of the kids, and realizing she and I have the same wedding anniversary! She and Kim were celebrating their 32nd!

Todd came up Sunday afternoon and spent the rest of the show time with me. Sunday night when we returned to the room, we found a bottle of wine and cheese and crackers, and a little note, on the other side of the note she had made reservations for us at an Italian restaurant called Abondante. 'The best in town' she said.
It was wonderful.

I had a wonderful time!
I'll be up at Weirs Beach in July. Now I need to get to sewing and replace the items sold and make some of the items that people were looking for but I did not have.
I was welcomed home with three times the hugs and kisses. It was just what I needed!!
Reagan keeps coming up to me telling me she needs hugs and kisses.

Finally A Hint Of Spring

Finally some color after a harsh winter! There is life sprouting up all over the place! Many of the White Birches around the yard have seen better days, quite a few fell over the winter too. The girls and I have planted some flowers. We put them in planters and pots. You may or may not be surprised to hear that we still have some ice under the leaf piles. I've been doing some spring cleaning and as I rake away the brown muck there lies more...ice... This was an interesting picture of an evergreen from the front garden. If can zoom in check out the little bug that got his snapshot taken. I did not even see him until I downloaded the pictures. We have an unruly patch of dandelions in the front yard. EVERY morning when we venture outside the twins race to see who will pick the next victim. There are other hints of spring all throughout the yard. I love taking a daily walk to see what else is ready to burst. I have a couple of patches of Forget Me Not's, All three of my trees are ready to blossom! I can't wait to capture these buds when then open.

And Then They Were Sick...

Future Entomologist

With Edie being sick she has had alot of extra attention, (how can she not when she has had her head or bottom in the potty for most of the day for the last five days).
Therefore, the twins have been super patient and very attentive to Edie as well. They are great big sisters. As a reward I took them to the dollar store with their 'Meme monies'. They each got to pick out a reward for being such good big sisters. Reagan picked out a...bug net.
Aubrey picked out a little horse head on a stick she gallops around on.
They picked out a balloon for Edie (wasn't it nice they were thinking of her.)

Reagan the bug girl.
I keep having her practice the word entomologist.
She LOVES bugs, big beetles, wiggly worms, flying things you name it she wants to investigate it! I've warned her of spiders and stinging bugs so she asks before she touches anything she is not sure of.

Edie weighed in at 27lbs in the hospital. She has lost a little weight from her intestine, colon, bowel bug. Poor thing has been down and out for almost a week, like she hasn't enough gastrointestinal issues in the last (almost) 2 years.
We were told it was not contagious...
The twins are now sick...
